PINARELLO GREVIL ULTEGRA DI2 DISC GRAVEL ROAD BIKE 2020
Borrowing heavily from their long history of producing some of the world’s best road bikes, Pinarello has bestowed the Grevil Ultegra Di2 Disc Gravel Road Bike frame with some very interesting features. The T700 UD carbon frame has a dropped driveside chainstay to give more tyre clearance whilst maintaining a road-like Q factor, and the asymmetric downtube and bottom bracket area add stiffness where needed to cope with drivetrain stress.
The frame has a slightly shorter reach and higher stack height than their road bikes but still feels right at home on tarmac as well as gravel. There are some aero tubes and the Fork Flap from the Dogma series to further enhance the bikes speed credentials. The frame can be used with either the Fulcrum Rapid Red 650b wheels which are included with 47mm wide rubber or, with narrower tyres, 700c wheels can be slotted in for rides with a tarmac bias.
The excellent and well-proven Shimano Ultegra R8000 Di2 groupset with hydraulic disc brakes provides flawless shifting and braking, with a wide range of gears thanks to the double chainset. Should a 1x system be preferred then the front derailleur hanger is easily removed.
